Voices for Virginia's Children

Beyond Trauma:
Youth Mental Health Summit

OCTOBER 11, 2023 | 7:30 am-4:00 pm

Science Museum of Virginia | Richmond, VA

The youth mental health crisis and its complex causes ripple throughout families, schools, neighborhoods, and entire regions.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Shawn Ginwright, is one of the nation’s leading innovators, provocateurs, and thought leaders on African-American youth, youth activism, and youth development. He is a professor, author, activist, and founder and CEO of the Flourish Agenda, Flourish Agenda, Inc., a national nonprofit consulting firm, whose mission is to design strategies that unlock the power of healing and engage youth of color and adult allies in transforming their schools and communities.

A robust offering of workshops is included in this day-long summit.
