Things To Know

Location

Science Museum of Virginia

The Science Museum of Virginia is located in Richmond, Virginia, with convenient access to I-95 and I-64. Established in 1977, it is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia with a mission to inspire all Virginians to enrich their lives through science. The museum is housed in the former Broad Street Station, built in 1917.

The museum encompasses 223,000 square feet, lending itself to a campus style event for the summit. With this in mind, it will be important that you come prepared with comfortable shoes as there will be some distance between the main area and workshop locations.

Parking

Science Museum of Virginia

Parking for the Summit will be available in multiple lots along DMV Drive. The parking lots available for guest use include the two small Science Museum lots, the Worker’s Compensation lot, and the Bon Secours Training Center lot. Please do NOT park in the parking deck between the Science Museum and the Children’s Museum unless all other lots are full.

There will be volunteers in purple shirts and high visibility vests along DMV drive to help direct traffic and ensure all guests are able to find suitable parking. If you marked that you need additional assistance during the event, please come directly to the Thalhimer Pavilion parking lot for assistance.

Please allow ample time to park and walk to the registration table. Volunteers will be strategically placed along with clear signage to ensure that all attendees are able to locate registration.
